This Saturday April 30th, at the newly liquor-licensed Cafe Orwell prepare for an debaucherous evening of comedy, art, music, film, and pastry known as the one-and-only BOUNCE CAKE.
Whisper his name to the wind near UCB Theatre, The Improv, or any other comedy venue in the NY or DC area, and a member of MIKE BLEJER's growing following will surely tip their hat in fond memory of Blejer's cleverly assembled projection shows. With charismatic bravado, Blejer will guide us through a sampler-plate line up of stand up's finest up-and-comers including RYAN CONNER, ANGEL YAU, and stage tornado NICK TURNER.
To ensure you wee your pants laughing, WISEGUYS PICTURES will be screening their Webby-award nominated "Facebook Ruins Job Interview," and other never before seen shorts written by the comedy duo.
Next, in what may be their last performance, MENOCU will grace the stage with Nirvana-esque melodies followed up by rockin' digital soundscapes courtesy of Clive Davis Dept. of Recorded Music veteran JOHN RECORD.
Closing out with a caked-out dance party, hip-hop's underground speed-spitter MISTERTHUMBS will be putting shame in you game atop left-field tracks produced by Purple Bird Music.
Don't forget to peek the hand-painted Snowboards 'n Skateboards exhibited around the venue by local artist NATASHA QUAM alongside an avant-guarde shirt line designed by S COLLECTIVE.
