Arcs are an American indie pop band based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The undercurrent of the music is a blend of influences ranging from The Cure, The Beach Boys, and U2. Arcs have been compared to a range of sounds from Springsteen and David Bowie to Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon.
Led by the vision of singer songwriter and guitarist Fionn Knyper, Arcs eloquently catches your attention through lush instrumentation, nimble production and mixing, narrative lyrics, and soft but nuanced vocals.
Fionn was a successful house music producer/label owner and DJ in San Francisco before giving it up to move to NY to pursue his love of singing and writing music.
In 2011 he connected with producer Aaron Nevezie at the Bunker Studios (Danger Mouse, Black Keys) and together they shaped the songs into the Arcs debut EP, "Home". Arcs is Fionn Knyper on guitar/lead vocals, Shaun Hettinger on Synths and Piano, Ervin Stellar on Bass, and Davide Cornejo on Drums.
"In today's music world, where ring tones pass for songs, it's great to hear musicianship and real melodies and harmonies."
-Carol Miller (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame DJ, Author)
"We've all heard a new song for the first time and known its was good. When a few days later that same song starts playing in your head you know it's great! That's how hits are made."
