Bio

We're a New York City based pop punk band that combines our thorough knowledge of jazz, rock, classical and alternative music with the style of time-honored bands like Blink 182. This collaborative approach proves to be the “tap your foot, nod your head” listening experience everyone wants to have.

Half The Sky is influenced by old school traditions produced within the music industry, along with present bands such as Circa Survive, Mayday Parade and the Mars Volta. Unlike new upcoming Pop Punk bands, Half the Sky goes back to basics, however, not in terms of musical ability.

You’ll never catch us playing songs piled high with technology to make our music appealing; to us it’s all about melodies and harmonies played on actual instruments.

As a band we want our music to be recognized as something that has not yet happened in the pop punk scene. If we could change the world with one of our songs, or place a smile on one person’s face while they listen and relate to our music, we know we’ve made a difference.
