KUNG FURY is a Three piece rock-n-roll band that’s heavy with Big hooks, tight pants, fast kicks and short songs, in the vein of: Iggy and the Stooges, N.Y. Dolls, QOTSA, Mudhoney, Teengenerate, Janes Addiction...

Shaun Brennan (vocals/guitar), founder of the shining Washington, D.C. based glam rock band Vanity Champ and R.E.A. (drums), formerly of notorious Albany punkers The Disenchanted, met in New York City in 2003 and began writing songs. Soon joined by Neal "Zum" on bass (of the infamous NYC Hardcore band Antidote) they started recording and playing gigs along the East Coast while staying steady on the NYC club circuit and holding down a residency at the club Snitch (owned by Scott Weiland and Duff McKagan).

In 2008 Jonny Z took over on bass duties and the boys hit the studio in May of 2009 to record the smashing EP “KICKS!”, featuring three fresh songs: “Take A Punch”, “I’m A Man” and “Wired”. Followed by an East coast promotional tour that hit cities from Albany, NY to Richmond, VA.

In the summer of 2011, tracking for a new album began. It was initially meant to be a "live feel" lo-fi project, but turned into a powerhouse, creative recording collaboration. This album is the gritty and stunning "Superqueen saves the world! Plus: other tales of heroism and mayhem!" released in December of 2011 and featuring 9 killer tunes.

KUNG FURY is about release. It’s about freeing yourself from the grip of small people with three minute songs about life, pleasure and decadence. It’s about simple, sexy rock-n-roll with a taste for class and trash. So, turn up the volume, light some bottle rockets and crawl around to the beat...
