I have studied privately with a variety of teachers since I was 14 years old including (though not limited to) Mary Saunders (Penn State), Liz Caplan, and David Sabella.
Before beginning my career in entertainment, which took me from television shows on Buena Vista Television (Disney) to Broadway (Mamma Mia!), I first studied legit voice training and my repetoire was almost entirely classical art songs and arias. This classical training in the bel canto method formed a solid foundation to help me move swiftly and deftly into the arenas of contemporary theater voice training and contemporary pop singing.
My background in music is also aided by the fact that I am a certified Pilates Teacher (Kane School of Core Integration) and have a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy as it pertains to singing, and the laryngeal and diaphragmatic work involved. Thus making me an ideal voice teacher for recording and the theater (especially for those who dance as well as sing).
With this training and eight years of solid music theory, I have also been exposed to a variety of fantastic music which has inspired and aided me in my endeavors as an arranger, vocal and otherwise.
